Services set for Anadarko's Paula McBride Savage

Paula McBride SavagePaula LeMarr McBride Savage, assistant editor of The Anadarko Daily News, died Oct. 12. She was 61.
A farewell gathering for Paula will begin at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the offices of The Anadarko Daily News, 117 E. Broadway in downtown Anadarko, after the OU-West Virginia football game. All OU fans are encouraged to wear their gear in honor of Paula’s great love for the University of Oklahoma Sooners.
Paula was born March 12, 1958, to Carolyn and Joe W. McBride, Jr. She was a graduate of Anadarko High School Class of 1976. After graduation, she attended the University of Oklahoma, graduating in 1988 with a degree in journalism. She later received a minor in religious studies from OU.
She began working at her family’s newspaper, The Anadarko Daily News, in 1974 and was employed there as assistant editor at the time of her death. Her column, “Whatever Happened To ...” was a Daily News reader favorite.
