seasonal photographer position is part of the Oklahoma Travel & Tourism
Division’s Public Relations Department, and would photograph
attractions and communities statewide, as well as catalog existing and
new images in our photo database. Responsibilities to include: •
Traveling the state taking high-resolution digital photographs of
Oklahoma people, attractions, restaurants, lodging, and communities for
use in promoting our tourism assets.
• Capturing Oklahoma’s spirit, culture and character in an authentic
and artistic way that is consistent with the Oklahoma Tourism
• Working with our ad agency or other entities to organize photo shoots
or model talent as needed.
• Implementing and maintaining a searchable photo database which would
include loading and keyword coding new and existing tourism images. •
The photographer would need to supply and use their own photography
equipment; however travel expenses and other office supplies would be
provided. • The Oklahoma Tourism Department would have unlimited use of
the photo rights. The day-to-day hours and schedule can be flexible;
however we do have a prioritized shot list of images needed quickly for
several upcoming publications. We’re looking to hire this position for
April through June, with the possibility of additional assignments made
in the fall.
Please send a resume and non-returnable samples of your photography
(either via CD, hard copy or website link) to Lindsay Vidrine no later
than April 18, 2008.
No phone calls please.
