The Board of Directors voted in April 2011 to change the annual convention dates from February to June after experiencing weather-related problems during recent conventions. Since the awards banquet is held during the convention, the awards committee recommended changing the contest period to a calendar year, with awards and plaques presented in June 2012.
Divisions:
BUSINESS MEMBERS: Circulation divisions 1-7 will be determined after all entries have been submitted to OPA. Entries will be divided as equally as possible into three daily and four weekly divisions. Semi-, Twin and Tri-Weekly newspapers will compete in Division 8.
SUSTAINING Membership Newspapers and COLLEGE Newspapers have separate divisions.
