ONF receives grant for internships in 2015

We're excited to announce for the eighth consecutive year the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation in Oklahoma City has awarded a grant to ONF to fund student internships. The funding will provide at least 18 paid internships in summer 2015 to college students pursuing a newspaper career. Application materials for newspapers and students will be available in October 2014. We're extremely grateful to the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation for its continued support of this great program that benefits both newspapers and students as they prepare for their professional careers! » Read about the current summer internship program

This is a great program because it gets a few of these aspiring journalists out into the real world of community newspapers. Talking about it in a classroom, or even working at a student-run newspaper, isn't the same as being at a paper for just a few weeks.
