Register now to attend the 2015 OPA Convention, June 4-6, at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City!
Publishers and editors: don't miss Keynote Speaker Ken Paulson, who will discuss the real value of newspapers to our communities. Paulson is president of the First Amendment Center and former editor-in-chief and senior vice president/news of USA Today. He is now a columnist on USA Today's board of contributors, writing about First Amendment issues and news media.
Governor Mary Fallin and our state's Congressmen have been invited for their annual sessions. Friday afternoon will have two news and two advertising sessions from which to choose. And the convention offers both the popular NewsFlash session with several ideas and successful ventures from your fellow newspapers, as well as Speed Topics with several learning and networking opportunities. But we'll kick it all off Thursday night with the annual business meeting followed by dinner and a live trivia game! Team up and we'll see which groups take home the prizes!
The Better Newspaper Contest Awards will be presented Friday, June 5, at the annual awards banquet. Don't miss this three-day event, which provides a lot of invaluable networking opportunities and several educational sessions. (The deadline to reserve a hotel room at the downtown Sheraton is quickly approaching! Reserve your room by May 12. Find hotel info on the convention webpage below.)
