Responsibilities include covering meetings and events, writing feature and special section stories, photo assignments, processing web material and some page layout depending on skill set. We currently use Photoshop and InDesign programs for processing information. This position is being funded by the Oklahoma Newspaper Foundation and pays $8.50 per hour for a 40-hour week for 8 weeks.

The job requires digging for revealing news and trends, generating exclusives, acquiring and analyzing data, and aggressively pursuing public records. Taking photos and simple video and recording audio will be part of the job.
    Oklahoma Watch is a nonprofit, nonpartisan online news publication that produces in-depth and investigative content on public-policy issues, often focusing on the underprivileged. Our offices are at the University of Oklahoma in Norman.
