OPA and ONF partnered with Attorney General Scott Pruitt's office to present six regional seminars on the state's Open Meeting and Open Records Acts this fall. At least 645 people attended the seminars, which informed elected or appointed officials about their responsibility under the state’s open meeting and records laws. There was no cost or registration required to attend.
Thank you to the newspapers that published stories about the seminars, which greatly improves attendance. The numbers were: 68 in Lawton, Sept. 27; 47 in Weatherford, Oct. 25; 210 in Oklahoma City, Oct. 25; 79 in McAlester, Nov. 29; 180 in Tulsa, Dec. 6; and 61 in Enid, Dec. 13.
