Preferred: Ability to work in digital space – from fixing simple computer problems to selling digital advertising.
Okmulgee is an up and coming community of 13,500 and the Okmulgee Times covers the city and the northern half of Okmulgee County. The newspaper moved to a new, improved location less than a year ago.
Cookson Hills Publishers, Inc. is a family-run company operates seven newspapers in Okmulgee, McIntosh and Sequoyah Counties. We work to be efficient in our back office work so we can dedicate more resources to news gathering and advertising sales.
We believe our newspapers should reflect the community’s mission, people, problems and hope. The newspaper is its voice and cheerleader.
The preferred candidate has a degree in journalism, advertising or business. Must be willing to live in and volunteer in the community.
