NEWSPAPER: Sequoyah County Times

DESCRIPTION: The Sequoyah County Times has been family owned since its inception in 1932. We have an opening for a county reporter. The county reporter should have the ability to conduct interviews, write a wide variety of news and feature stories, investigate news leads as assigned, initiate story ideas, take photographs, and maintain contact with public and school officials. Other duties include reporting on the court system and court proceedings, and covering community events, city council meetings, school board meetings, and organizational meetings in the county, as assigned and requested. Must have strong writing skills, research skills, and the ability to work under semi-weekly deadlines. Accuracy is essential, as well as interacting with the public and developing relationships with public officials.
