Quarter and Half Century Awards

Being a member of any profession for
25 or 50 years is not only a personal achievement, it is an important milestone
that should be recognized.
Thats why the Oklahoma Press Association recognizes the contributions of those who have served in the newspaper industry by inducting them into the Half Century and Quarter Century Clubs at the annual
Mid-Winter Convention.
Anyone may make nominations for the Quarter or Half Century Clubs. Self-
nominations also are acceptable.
New members will be inducted during the OPA Mid-Winter Convention.
To apply for induction in either Club, review the criteria at right and submit the form along with a biography detailing years of service to the newspaper industry.

HALF CENTURY CLUB
To be eligible for membership in the Half Century Club, nominees must have completed any 20 years of their newspaper experience at an Okla-homa newspaper. Credit will be given for work as a carrier or stringer (including photographers and reporters) as well as wartime service.
To apply for membership, complete the form below and attach biography detailing your 50 years of service to the newspaper industry.
Nominations must be received at the OPA office by Dec. 28, 2007.
QUARTER CENTURY CLUB
To be eligible for membership in the Quarter Century Club, nominees must have completed at least 10 years of their newspaper experience at an Oklahoma newspaper. Credit will be given for work as a carrier or stringer (including photographers and reporters) as well as wartime service.
