The Norman Transcript is looking for a dedicated and inquisitive reporter to join our award-winning multimedia company.
As the newspaper industry evolves, community newspapers have remained a force in the industry, and the Transcript is no exception. The ideal candidate will be able to cultivate sources in the Norman and Cleveland County community, collaborate with co-workers on enterprise projects, meet daily deadlines and efficiently manage their time.
The general assignment reporter will create content for the Transcript’s print and digital platforms, including stories, videos and photos. This is a full-time position that would require frequent work in the afternoon and evening hours and on the weekends.
All full-time positions offer paid vacation, a variety of insurance benefit participation opportunities, and a 401K program. The Norman Transcript is a drug-free workplace and Equal Opportunity Employer.
A bachelor’s degree is required and experience working in the media industry is preferred.
Please send your resume, clips, and a cover letter to Transcript Editor Caleb Slinkard at firstname.lastname@example.org
