The Waco Tribune-Herald is seeking an Assistant City Editor to join its award-winning news staff. Our ACE is the primary editor for local stories generated by 9 city desk reporters, and assists the copy desk in final approval for the daily print edition. This position demands strong editing skills, thorough knowledge of AP style, proficiency in social media, and a good grasp of issues. The ACE assists the city editor in directing news content, working directly with reporters to ensure stories are concise, accurate, complete and balanced. Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field is required, with a minimum of two years of experience in the newsroom of a daily newspaper. The Tribune-Herald, owned by Berkshire Hathaway Media, is a 30,000-circulation newspaper located halfway between Austin and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex on Interstate 35.
