Carol Richer Gammell started her training firm Sales Training Plus in Tulsa after serving as associate publisher of MacDonald Classified Services for 16 years. She has spoken at more than 350 newspaper conventions and conducted training workshops for newspaper advertising sales professionals at more than 800 newspapers, including The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, The Toronto Star, The Mobile Press-Register, The Montreal Gazette, The Riverside Press-Enterprise, and The Tulsa World, among many others. In 2000, Richer was awarded the McGovern Award by the Newspaper Association of America for her service to the classified industry.
