OPEN A NEW SUITE OF SERVICES
A new suite of services is now available to members of the
Oklahoma Press Association. As an OPA member, you will receive several free services by participating in OPEN – Oklahoma Press Electronic News – including:
• A free site where you can search your current archives for
editorial research.
• A free statewide legal notice site that contains legals from
all participating state newspapers.

OPEN YOUR NEWSPAPER IN A NEW WAY
OPEN will provide newspapers with an online archive, as well as deliver electronic subscriptions, clippings and tear sheets.
The technology to power OPEN is provided by Arcasearch, a company that creates fully keyword searchable digital files identical to your actual newspaper pages and hosts them online.

OPEN ADDITIONAL SERVICES
FOR A REASONABLE COST
In addition to the free services, OPEN also offers several affordable modules including:
• Online Subscriptions. If you’ve been looking at ways to offer your newspaper online, here’s the answer. Simply set the price for a digital subscription and Arcasearch does the rest. The only charge is a modest commission per subscription based on circulation and frequency.
• Historic Archives. While OPEN will become a historic archive from the time you join, some of you may want to start adding back issues. The cost is only five cents per page for files already in PDF format. Check with OPEN for pricing on shooting camera images from old newspapers.
OPEN YOUR MIND TO THE POSSIBILITIES
All you have to do is upload your newspaper’s PDF files to an FTP site. Even if you’re not making PDF files yet, you can still participate.
OPEN ONE AT A TIME OR ALL AT ONCE
