Internship Selection Process
A committee of the Oklahoma Newspaper Foundation Board of Trustees will review all student applications.

All students will be notified in spring 2008 whether they have been selected for a paid ONF internship.

Each intern will receive detailed information about the newspapers wanting to host an intern and the position(s) available. Students must submit to ONF a list of the top five newspapers at which he/she would want to complete the internship program. ONF will then send the student’s application materials to the five selected newspapers.

The interview process between newspapers and interns will occur in late April with job offers and confirmations made in May. In the event an ONF intern is not offered a position at one of his/her top five newspapers, he/she will receive assistance in making contacts with other newspapers to secure an internship.

Internships will be completed during an eight-week period in summer 2008. The exact dates are to be determined by the hosting newspaper and student intern
